The Fool’s Journey: Reconnecting to Our Spiritual Paths Through the Tarot
hosted by Ancient Nouveau
The Tarot is a powerful tool for understanding an individual’s soul journey. What spiritual mission did we come to earth to accomplish? Where are we on that path? What is the reality of any given situation from a divine perspective, and how can that knowledge help us? Unlocking answers to these questions is not only thrilling, it is a way of activating our personal agency and consequent bliss. This two-part workshop series is designed for students who want to engage with the Tarot on a serious basis, in order to access a higher awareness of their earthly journey.
The first workshop will cover the Tarot’s fundamental architecture, with a focused discussion on the Tree of Life that unlocks the meaning of the Major Arcana (the 22 archetypal cards in a Tarot deck). Students will have the opportunity to practice readings with the guidance of the teacher, as well as learn a number of spreads they can employ at home in order to advance their practice.
The second workshop will continue to explore the Tarot’s structure and meaning through a discussion of the elements and how they relate to the Minor Arcana, or the remaining 56 cards. Having learned the fundamentals of each card, the class will then engage in dialogue on the Tarot on a more holistic level. This includes the process of learning how to read for yourself, learning how to read for others, and a continuation of practice readings. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and synthesize their knowledge.
It’s recommended that students attend both classes. However, the workshops follow a modular structure that allows participants to benefit, no matter their previous training or knowledge. A health curiosity and a willingness to engage with wholly new knowledge is recommended. Students are required to bring their own Rider-Waite deck.
The first installment of this series will take place on Saturday, June 9th from 2pm-5pm.
Exchange // $40 per class or $60 for both classes
