Spring Awakening: A Holi Celebration!
Hosted by Betsabé Luna
Color yourself pretty and come join us at Root Mamma for a Holi celebration!
Every year Holi is celebrated around India and other parts of the world. People take to the streets, playfully painting each other in bright colors to welcome the start of Spring and celebrate the triumph of good over evil or light over darkness. March 20th also marks the date of the Spring Equinox in the Northern hemisphere. Perfect reason to add a little color and playfulness to your weekday evening.
We will start the evening with a short restorative yoga practice and meditation centered around the themes of Holi. An essential oil will accompany each restorative pose and theme. You will be given the opportunity to set an intention for the season or year ahead (make sure to bring a journal and a pen). We will end the evening with some tea and light sweets. If the weather permits, we will go out to the garden for some colorful fun! Colors will be provided. Make sure to wear something you don’t mind getting color on. :)
