An Afternoon of Healing
Hosted by Wandering Roots
with Zack Brady, Kristen Volpone, Derek Rusinek
Join Wandering Roots for a magical afternoon of healing where we'll explore the balance between Yin & Yang through Qigong, Yin Yoga, and Sound. This is a particularly special event as it will be Wandering Roots' co-founder Zack Brady's final Wandering Roots event in New York before they move to Portland, Oregon, to study acupuncture. Come out to receive healing and to learn what's next for Wandering Roots both in NYC and in Portland!
The afternoon will begin with a spirit-lifting Qigong flow led by Zack which will explore the Yang energies within us and the elements of Fire and Wood. We will then circle up to drink tea, meet each other, and to learn about what's next from Wandering Roots. Finally, Kristen Volpone and Derek Rusinek will lead an extended Body & Sound session which will blend Yin Yoga and a Sound Journey.
Join with others as we explore different healing paths and feel more connected with ourselves and our community. Wandering Roots events aim to open space for creating bonds of friendship and collaboration through spiritual practices, healing arts, and wellness.

No one will be turned away but we do ask that you consider supporting those offering their practices and Firebird if you can. The first practice will begin exactly at 1. While drop-ins are allowed, it is highly encouraged that you show up early and enjoy the entire experience.
/Wandering Roots is a partner of Firebird and offers workshops and events centered around various realms of healing and empowerment. They will often involve Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Qi Gong, Massage, Natural Remedies, Crafting, Song, Musical Instruments, Poetry/ Writing, and partner activities. Woven together through a focus on the elements, each event has a harmonious and mindfully prepared transition from one practitioner to the next.
