“Regeneration” is the theme carrying our healing and arts practice in this season. What is life-giving? How can we model our daily habits and values to be in harmony with our true nature, as wild, primal creatures of the Earth? Radiant Essence Dance Ensemble will debut a sacred choreography to a surprise song by Yaima! We will invoke the prowess of silk veils in our dance, dyed in ritual collaboration with RAW Textiles. Choreographed by Jordan Sun in Dancecraft Style. An Infinitely Love Healing Arts Production.

Radiant Essence Dance Ensemble is a somatically-rooted Fusion Bellydance project from Portland, Oregon, directed by Jordan Sun. Through holistic presence and movement ritual, we practice heart-centered and embodied expression. Our dance offers inclusive celebration and connection with community. Between the breath and the movement, there is a space which expands authentic experience and plants seeds of healing for both the dancer and the witness. It is here we find the essence of our radiance.

Jordan is a lifelong dancer and multipassionate artist. At the age of 14, her interest was piqued by the timeless benefits of meditation and yoga. In 2010, she attained her license in Massage Therapy and also began her studies of Fusion Bellydance. In 2014, Jordan received her Yoga Teacher certification at Passion Yoga School. Jordan is the founder of Infinitely Love Healing Arts, a collective of health care practitioners in 2022. Jordan Sun is a passionate advocate for movement as a means of healing, gives gratitude to her teachers including but not limited to, Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Tiare Tashnick, Heather Louise and Colette Todorov. Jordan is notably inspired by her dear friend and collaborator, founder of Fusion Dance Ensemble, 11:11, Amrita Amanita. In addition to offering healing, teaching movement medicine and performing as a fusion dancer, Jordan is a self-taught watercolor artist. Currently, she is a holistic Thai Massage Therapist, Postpartum Doula and is pursuing a degree in Dance Movement Therapy with Lesley University. “I am devoted to helping people feel better, move better and live in greater joy!”
