Winter Solstice Ceremony [Portland]

  • Earth Space PDX 4135 Southeast Gladstone Street Portland, OR, 97202 United States (map)

Winter Solstice Ceremony

Hosted by Sarah Rayne

Winter Solstice is the darkest day of the year, and yet it heralds the return of the light. It marks a major turning point on the wheel of the year, as well as ushering in the end of 2023. As we release the old, and welcome the new, we are provided with a potent opportunity for rebirth. What needs to be left behind, and burned in our solstice fires of 2023? What do you want to invite to gain shape and grow with momentum, for you to cultivate in 2024? That is what you are creating space and radical permissioning for you to find out.

This potent 2-hour group healing and ceremony will begin with a group talk on the energies of Winter Solstice / Yule, rebirth, and honoring the light and the dark. We will then move into a somatic energy clearing, followed by an extended guided meditation & live ambient sound journey for rebirth. This will be followed by a fun winter nature crafting activity, and finish with a potent fire ceremony in the backyard, accompanied by a group song, with the intention of releasing what we are ready to for 2023.

The intention of this ceremony is to support your energetic rebirth as we move through the portal of the Winter Solstice, and welcome the return of the light.

All are welcome - no experience necessary!
