Winter Solstice Ceremony [Portland]

  • Awakenings Wellness Center 1016 Southeast 12th Avenue Portland, OR, 97214 United States (map)

Winter Solstice Ceremony

Hosted by Sarah Rayne

Winter Solstice is a time for visioning radical possibility in the dark. It is the darkest day of the year, and it heralds the return of the light. It invites stillness, introspection, and celebration as we honor our sacred efforts and prepare to journey through the portal of the new year. As we release the old, and welcome the new, we are provided with a potent opportunity for rebirth. This ceremony aims to support you in alchemizing your experiences and lessons from 2024, and creating space for visioning a bright, bold future ahead.

This potent 2-hour group healing and ceremony will begin with a community discussion on the energies of Winter Solstice / Yule, rebirth, and honoring the light and the dark. We will then move into a guided meditation for rebirth with live ambient sound. This will be followed by some time for journaling + intention setting, a group alchemical magic activation, a winter nature crafting activity, and finish with a group medicine song.

The intention of this ceremony is to support your energetic rebirth as we move through the portal of the Winter Solstice, and welcome the return of the light.

All are welcome - no experience necessary!
