1000 Hands Buddha Qigong // Online 5-Class Series

1000 Hands Buddha Qigong

Hosted by dr. Kat Brady, LAc.

6pm-7:15pm PT // 9pm-10:15pm ET

Tuesdays: 8/20, 8/27, 9/3, 9/10, 9/17

One Thousand Hands Buddha is a Qigong form developed by the Liu Family over many generations that when practiced can clear suffering from the heart so that we may connect to the unifying energies of the universe. It is a meditative, seated practice utilizing 12 elegant mudra movements with the fingers, hands, and arms to cultivate the Heart, regulate the opening and closing of the Heart Protector, rediscover our innate and noble heart, and develop emotional resilience. It is a powerful form that can help us to connect to our inner truth even in the darkest of times.

In this 5-class series we will slowly learn how to perform each of the mudras while exploring Chinese medical and Daoist concepts that are at the heart of One Thousand Hands Buddha. We will also practice Qi self-massage, visualization meditations, breathwork, and mantra sounding to deepen our Qigong practice. Classes will be entirely seated.

This form was taught to Dr. Kat Brady, LAc., by Master Liu He and certified to teach it through the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong school. Kat treats passing on this Liu family Qigong form as a great honor granted to them by their teacher.

No experience in Qigong is required for this class. One Thousand Hands Buddha is an amazing form for both beginners and long time practitioners alike.

Classes will be taught online over Zoom. It's advised to find a quiet place to practice where you will have room to stretch your arms. This practice can be done sitting on the floor or in a chair.
Please inform Kat of any health conditions that may impact your ability to perform the movements in this class.

This class will take place on Tuesday evenings for 5 weeks, from 8/20 - 9/17, beginning at 6pm PT // 9pm ET. Replay video will be available for missed classes.

The 10000 Hands Buddha guide book, produced by the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong school, will be provided to all students in electronic form as part of this course. Handbooks will be sent by email around the first day of the series.
