If you’ve been curious about magic or healing, chances are you’ve heard of the tarot, have received a tarot reading, or maybe you even have your own deck and have been pulling cards for yourself. With 78 individual cards with many different meanings and correspondences for each, it might feel overwhelming to read for yourself or others, especially without relying on the guide book.

So, what is the tarot? How do you make meaning of the cards, and how do you weave that meaning with your own intuition to result in practical advice or guidance for yourself or others?

The tarot is a magical tool for communicating with the wisdom of the universe and your guides. It holds many layers of meaning that unfold as you deepen in relationship to the cards and to your own intuitive knowing. With 22 Major Arcana Cards, and 56 Minor Arcana Cards broken up into 4 suits, there is a lot of symbology and traditional meaning to learn as a basis for your tarot practice.

Anyone can read the tarot

The great news is - anyone can read tarot! & once you have a basic understanding of the meaning of the cards, as well as the numerological and elemental correspondences, then that’s where the fun can begin :-)

Though each card has its own traditional meaning, reading tarot goes way beyond memorization and recitation. Reading tarot cards is more like a conversation, a dance, or poetry in motion. As the reader, you are the connection point to receive and share guidance from the universe to support the growth, healing, and empowerment of yourself and anyone you share your gifts with. The cards speak - sometimes in whispers, sometimes in shouts, and sometimes in full-blown sentences with a surprising amount of clarity. Learning to read tarot is as much about learning to develop and trust your own intuition as it is about understanding the foundational symbology of each card. As you continue to practice, your confidence will grow, and the messages that will come through will be way deeper, more elaborate, and more meaningful than anything you could ever find in any guidebook.

This 7-part, 20-hour online course will be a comprehensive & integrative introduction to reading the tarot. It is suitable for anyone from 100% beginners, to the casual home reader, to those who have some basis of knowledge or experience but would like to learn solid tarot foundations and practice giving and receiving readings in community.

Wow, thank you Sarah for this course! I have attempted self study in tarot for many years and it was such a gift to be guided so thoroughly and deeply through the deck!
Sarah offers both traditional and modern interpretations for the cards, and treats this course like she does all of her offerings: in community with other like-minded magic seekers! It’s so lovely to learn with others and to share our personal connections to the cards with one another. I highly recommend this journey with Sarah!

Her tarot sessions are juicy, deep, to the point and I always leave with the insight I need to hear to move me forward toward my highest good. I highly recommend her to everyone I know. Her magic is strong and her practice is beautiful.” - SB, Portland

“Working with Sarah is like receiving a warm hug for your soul. Her energy is patient, calming, and accepting- and the way she embodies her magic and creativity is inspiring. I always feel validated and more connected to my intuition after having a session with her. Her tarot readings have been spot on and really helpful- especially over the pandemic, when things were very confusing and unknown. She really interprets guidance in a way that is easy to understand and always hopeful. I look forward to attending more of her live events, and I can’t wait to continue cultivating my connection to spirit with her as my guide!” -EW, Online
