Samhain Ceremony & Ancestral Feast

  • Our Firebird Home Southeast 37th Avenue & Holgate St. Portland, OR United States (map)

hosted by Sarah Rayne

This year, to honor Samhain, we will be hosting a small semi-private ceremony & gathering in our home. Samhain is an ancient Celtic / Pagan holiday, meant to honor the end of Harvest season, and the turning of the wheel of the year towards the colder months. This is also the time of the year where the veil between the worlds of the living & dead is the thinest. Samhain is also known as the Witches' New Year, and is the precursor to modern Halloween celebrations.

During this cozy & intimate nature-based ceremony, we will honor our ancestors & other loved ones who have passed on, give thanks for the bounty of the harvest that we have received, acknowledge the medicine in the energy of death/rebirth, light candles for our intentions, and break bread together.

Please bring a photo or object related to your ancestors or loved ones who have passed, to add to our collective altar.

Space is limited and RSVP is required. Attendees who RSVP "going" will be messaged the address of our home in Southeast Portland prior to the event. Please either RSVP on our Facebook event, or email us at portland@firebirdhealingarts.com to confirm.
